This Isn’t Goodbye, But…

This Isn’t Goodbye, But…

My time with DBA Chronicles has come to a close.

Over these past few weeks, I’ve had a chance to reflect on what started as a simple idea between three determined DBA students has become something much more than any of us expected.

DBA Chronicles began as a desire that Kelly, Val, and I shared to fill holes in our knowledge and expectations as DBA students. How we could have been better prepared coming into our DBA program, and what knowledge we had gained that we could share with others. In short, we wish we had known more about what we were getting ourselves into!

It has evolved into a platform that connects a global community, peels back the curtain on the unique challenges and triumphs of doctoral scholars navigating both practice and theory, and provides a space where stories, wisdom, and voices can be amplified. You can read more about how it all began in my origin story blog. Truthfully, this chapter has been one of the most fulfilling of both my personal and academic experiences.

I’m incredibly proud to have helped create and co-chaired this nonprofit, and to have co-hosted our podcast, hearing firsthand the impact our guests have made and seeing how their stories resonated across the DBA and executive doctoral communities. The passion, purpose, and generosity of this network have exceeded every hope we had when we launched.

This isn’t truly goodbye. Not from the mission. Not from the community. And certainly not from the belief that this work matters.

It’s simply time for the next chapter, and I could not be more confident in Kelly and Val as they continue forward. They’ve brought brilliance, heart, and tireless energy to every piece of content and the purpose of our mission. DBA Chronicles’ next chapter is going to be extraordinary, and I’ll be cheering every step of the way.

To our readers, listeners, and supporters, THANK YOU!! Thank you for believing in this little idea and helping it become something real.
